I had this thought in the shower this morning, and it was the first time in a long time that i felt compelled to write something here at Insight Writer. This past weekend was wonderful. Even as a three day weekend goes it was one of the better ones. I got to spend most of it with [...] I’m wondering how I should start this post… Maybe how I started one of my last ones by talking about how my inspiration came from two different sources. Or maybe focus on how timid people are. Or how we don’t know how to speak up for ourselves. Or maybe take the business approach and talk about how [...] An interesting occurence happened to me yesterday. A had an epiphany of sorts. A grand idea that was a simple reminder about why we fail to accomplish our goals. Why we fall off track. Why we are left scratching our heads because we just ended back up where we started. What could cause this to happen? A lack [...] Values, Priorities, Passion…. We talk about them, but do we do them? Maybe you are like me and you like to concentrate on the big ways in which we can follow our values, priorities, and passions. You like to knock’em dead in one fell swoop. Unfortunately, things don’t always work that way. As cliche as it is, the little things [...] I recently wrote on the importance of being part of group and had some mixed reactions. My main point at the end was that groups are natural to humans. We thrive in groups and it is natural to form them for many different reasons. I said that we should join a group to learn and participate [...] Remember the old game Monopoly? Where you had a little icon that you moved around the board slowly gathering money and property till you could charge everyone else out of the game? Where you traded four houses up for a hotel? You had to wait till you got around the board to collect $200 to use [...] Economic news has been really disturbing lately. Things just keep getting worse and worse and the American public has no clue! Total possible funds dedicated to bailouts and the like has gone over four trillion dollars. The government has already “spent” over a trillion dollars combating our economic problems. All these things make me angrier and angrier! But, [...] |
